Senior Fitness Programs
Our Senior Fitness Program is specifically designed for seniors
residing in Assisted Living, Independent Living and Personal Care
facilities. The purpose of our program is to help older adults live
longer, healthier and happier lives.
Our program is not a "one size fits all" program. It is tailored to
meet the specific needs of your facility and its residents. It is divided
into two areas. The Seniors in Motion Program focus on
strengthening individuals physically; the Great Start Program
addresses the mental, social and spiritual needs of the residents.
Together they provide a holistic approach to staying healthy.
Our Senior Fitness Program has been found to:
Improve quality of life
Prolong independence
Increase muscle mass, strength and bone density
Optimize functional ability
Decrease falls
Promote socialization
Stimulate cognition
Promote "aging in place"
Seniors in Motion
As we age we tend to lose muscle and bone density. This loss
contributes to decreased mobility, increased falls, loss of independence
and an overall reduction in quality of life. We offer you programs that
help prevent further loss and even increase muscle and bone density.
The loss of muscle mass and bone density doesn’t have to be a normal
part of growing older. Our Seniors in Motion program incorporate
strength training, range of motion, coordination and cardiovascular
exercises. These exercises help residents improve their physical fitness
and are essential for prolonged independence and improved quality of life.
Components of our Seniors in Motion program include:
Program Coordination
Participant screenings
Assessments
Group and one-on-one exercise
Progress evaluations
Walking programs
Incentives and motivational programs
Specialized fitness programs for the memory impaired
