What is Aquatic Therapy?
Aquatic Therapy refers to skilled treatment provided by licensed
physical or occupational therapists in an aquatic medium--water. Aquatic
Therapy works specific muscle groups and/or joints without the
compressive loading forces present in land-based therapy. The ability to
swim is not required.

How often is Aquatic Therapy Held?
The program is held twice a week for 6-week sessions. Call for dates
& times.
How Can I Participate in Aquatic Therapy?
A prescription from your physician is required. The prescription must
specify the diagnosis to be treated and whether Physical or Occupational
Therapy is needed to provide the service.
A land-based Physical or Occupational Therapy evaluation will be
completed prior to the first pool visit. This will help establish the
problems to be addressed in Aquatic Therapy. Monthly land-based
re-evaluations will also be done to assess progress.
